Summary: Great Trimmer - Even Better Customer Service
Comment: There is not much that you can say about this trimmer. If you want to ditch those cheaply made throw away imports that require batteries or electricity to operate then this is the trimmer for you. It is extremely well made (solid) and very easy to operate. A few simple twists and you are done and without fuss or pain!
What I really want to review here is this company's incredible customer service. Listen up, all you other Amazon resellers and for that matter any other company doing business on the internet. I ordered this trimmer on a Monday and didn't realize until the next day that I had provided an incorrect address. I use Amazon.com frequently to purchase gifts for family and friends and in my haste I selected a recent address of a friend that I had sent a book to. As soon as I noticed MY MISTAKE I contacted PHR Systems/Groom Mate to let them know. Well, as luck would have it they had already shipped my order out to me. Without missing a beat they reshipped my order to me using priority mail and 2 days later I received my new trimmer! They responded immediately to me via email and even sent me a follow-up email to let me know that the new order had been shipped. They even gave me instructions to pass along to my friend so that he could easily return the incorrect shipment to them without cost.
I plan on doing a lot more business with this very reputable company. It doesn't hurt that I have lots of friends that have hairy nostrils!

Comment: I purchased this Platinum XL nose hair trimmer for my husband as a gift recently and he really likes it. It is well made and easy to use and doesn't rip out his hair like his last trimmer.

Summary: I like my new trimmer
Comment: I purchased one of these Platinum XL nose trimmers a few months ago for myself and have just recently purchased a few more as stocking stuffer gifts for employees and friends. I figured I would leave a couple of quick comments about this product seeing as how I now have purchased quite a few.
This particular nose hair trimmer is about my umpteenth trimmer that I have purchased during my lifetime and I have had plenty of experience with all sorts of tools that are meant to keep nostril hairs well groomed. This is the very first nose hair trimmer that I have owned that actually works as advertised and that I believe is so well made that it will probably never need replacing (unless I lose it!).
As one reviewer stated it is an "ingenious device" that is so simple and solidly built that they wish they had invented it.
I would recommend this nose hair trimmer to anyone who is tired of trying to find the perfect trimmer because I truly believe that this is it. By the way, Groom Mate and Amazon did a wonderful job of processing and shipping my orders promptly and without any problems at all.

Summary: faulty design
Comment: I was delighted to find the groom mate online. However reality of this product and customer service is another issue.
1. Hairs were still pulled, even though it was brand new (ouch!)
2. Flaw in design: no edge to prevent rolling (mine rolled off the vanity on day 2).
3. The exterior teeth are VERY fragile, mine rolled off and bent a tooth, I tried to readjust the bent tooth to no avail.
4. The service address supplied on the package is NOT real (this was about two years ago), I sent mine back with a letter stating I wanted a new part, and the entire package came back with USPS claiming the address was not valid.
I haven't dared buy a new one since.

Comment: That pretty much sums up how I feel about this product. The Platinum XL nose hair trimmer simply works and is simple to operate. There are no bells and whistles to get in the way of doing what this very well made product is supposed to do and that is to easily remove unwanted nasal hair. I figured out the best way to use it within a minute of getting it out of the package. I have not pulled any hairs out yet by the roots as I used to with my last battery model.
If you want a nose hair clipper that is built to last forever and backed up by a lifetime warranty and that is made in this country then look no further.
