Paul McCartney to make Austin debut on "Out There" trek
Iconic Beatle Paul McCartney will make his first-ever appearance in Austin, TX, as part of his "Out There" world tour.
Just days after announcing a July performance at Boston's Fenway Park, McCartney added a May 22 show at Austin's Frank Erwin Center to the itinerary.
Tickets for the Texas concert go on sale April 12 via Live Nation and the venue's website.
The Austin date comes a couple weeks after McCartney's Brazilian performances in early May and will be followed by a trio of European shows in late June. More dates will be revealed in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
McCartney's "Out There" tour will feature music spanning his extensive career, including solo work and songs from his time with The Beatles and Wings. The award-winning singer/songwriter will be joined by a backing band consisting of Paul "Wix" Wickens (keys), Rusty Anderson (guitar), Abe Laboriel Jr. (drums) and Brian Ray (bass/guitar).
