Phish to spend summer touring North America
Jam-rock icons Phish will return to the tour trail for a summer road trip, which includes the band's first Canadian show in 13 years.
The Vermont crew, comprised of singer/guitarist Trey Anastasio, bassist Mike Gordon, drummer Jon Fishman and keyboardist Page McConnell, will kick off the journey with a July 3 performance in Bangor, ME. The month-long summer excursion features several two- and three-night stands, including three consecutive evenings in Sarasota Springs, NY (7/5-7), and Chicago (7/19-21). A July 9 performance in Toronto marks the band's first Canadian concert in 13 years, according to a press release.
A handful of August shows are also on the books, wrapping up with three gigs (8/30-9/1) in Commerce City, CO.
Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning March 29-30 at the group's website.
Last April, Phish reissued its first full-length studio album, "Junta," as a limited edition, deluxe 3-LP vinyl set in conjunction with Record Store Day (4/21). The most recent studio effort, "Joy," surfaced in 2009 and marked the band's return after a four-year hiatus.
