Depeche Mode has unveiled a U.S. summer tour following an extensive European run, all in support of the forthcoming album "Delta Machine."

After a March 15 appearance at Austin, TX's South by Southwest Music Conference, the veteran alt-rockers will first perform throughout Europe for nearly three months, beginning with a May 7 performance in Tel Aviv, Israel, and pushing through a July 29 show in Minsk, Belarus. The North American portion kicks off Aug. 22 in Clarkston, MI, and visits 18 major markets through an Oct. 8 concert in Phoenix, AZ.

Fans who pre-order "Delta Machine" before April 1 will have the opportunity for pre-sale tickets through April 5. General on-sales begin April 6 via Live Nation.

"I enjoy being in front of an audience because our songs really take on a life of their own when performed live," guitarist/keyboardist Martin Gore said in a press release. "When we're performing, the stage almost becomes a mirror for the people who have been there since the beginning, and we become a reflection of our audience. I'm looking forward to this tour for that very reason."

"Delta Machine," Depeche Mode's long-awaited 13th studio effort, will hit retailers March 22 via Columbia Records. The collection follows the group's 2009 release, "Sounds of the Universe," which peaked at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and topped the magazine's Alternative Albums, Dance/Electronic Albums and Rock Albums charts.
