Todd Rundgren hits the road behind "State"
Todd Rundgren will spend some time touring U.S. theaters this spring in support of his forthcoming new album, "State."
The Philadelphia native, currently wrapping up a Japanese run, will begin the stateside journey with a May 5 performance in Woodstock, NY. The 11-city trek focuses on the eastern U.S., finishing up with a May 20 show in Minneapolis, MN, before heading across the pond for a European leg that extends into mid-June.
The summer itinerary also includes the six-day Toddstock, slated for June 17-22 at the Nottoway Plantation and Resort in White Castle, LA. The sixth annual musical summer camp will celebrate Rundgren's 65th birthday along the banks of the Mississippi with nightly jam sessions, according to the event's website.
Rundgren will unveil "State," his 24th solo collection, April 9 via Esoteric/Antenna. The 10-track album mixes rock, soul, R&B and electronica, according to a press release.
