Dave Matthews Band unfurls summer outing
Following a couple of springtime gigs, Dave Matthews Band will take to the road for a summer tour in support of last year's "Away from the World."
The Grammy-winning outfit, comprised of frontman Dave Matthews, drummer Carter Beauford, bassist Stefan Lessard and violinist Boyd Tinsley, will make an April 28 appearance at New Orleans' Jazzfest before kicking off the official tour with a May 17 show in The Woodlands, TX. The summer trek features 33 stops before the Sept. 8 conclusion in Mountain View, CA.
Two-night performances are on the books in several markets, including Saratoga Springs, NY (5/25-26); Hartford, CT (6/7-8); Mansfield, MA (6/15-16); and West Palm Beach, FL (7/19-20); among others.

"Away from the World," DMB's eighth studio effort, surfaced in September via RCA Records. The collection, which follows 2009's "Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King," debuted at the top of The Billboard 200 and landed at No. 29 on Rolling Stone's list of Top 50 Albums of 2012.
