Gavin DeGraw heads out on summer excursion

Platinum-selling pop-rocker Gavin DeGraw will take time from the studio to hit the road this summer with Train and The Script for an amphitheater run.
The New York native and his two support acts will begin the trek with a July 17 performance in Cleveland, OH, followed by 18 major market stops scattered from coast to coast. The summertime outing closes Aug. 14 in Auburn, WA.
Tickets for the outing go on sale Feb. 8; information is available via DeGraw's website.
DeGraw is currently working on his fifth studio album, according to a press release. On the tour, the performer will introduce fans to new music, as well as hits from his previous efforts, including 2011's "Sweeter." That set peaked at No. 8 on The Billboard 200 and includes his latest hit single, "Soldier."
San Francisco trio Train will continue supporting last year's "California 37," while Irish alt-rockers The Script are drumming up support for their 2012 release, "3."
