Bob Mould continues "Silver Age" push
Post-punk icon Bob Mould has resurrected the "Silver Age" tour in 2013, supporting the recently released album of the same name with a handful of North American dates.
The former Husker Du and Sugar guitarist, who made his "Austin City Limits" debut Saturday (1/26), will return to the stage with a two-night stand Feb. 26-27 in New York City. Stops are also slated in Toronto (3/1) and Detroit, MI (3/2), before the musician heads to Australia for a half-dozen performances.
Mould's current band -- drummer John Wurster (Superchuck) and bassist Jason Narducy (Telekinesis) -- will join him on the outing, which will include a front-to-back performance of "Copper Blue," followed by an additional set mixing new tracks from "Silver Age" with material from Husker Du, Sugar and Mould's solo career.
"Silver Age" surfaced in early September via Merge Records. The effort marks Mould's first collection of new material since 2009's "Life and Times."
