Dave Matthews Band confirms spring gigs
The Dave Matthews Band has plans to visit a couple of Southern cities this spring in continued support of the fall release, "Away from the World."
The Virginia-based jam band has a March 16 date confirmed in Ludlow, VT, followed by two April gigs: April 6th in Pelham, AL, and April 27 in Southaven, MS. Public on-sales for the latter two performances begin Feb. 8 at the DMB website.
"Away from the World," DMB's eighth studio effort, surfaced in September via RCA Records. The 11-track collection, produced by Steve Lillywhite, peaked at the top of The Billboard 200, as well as the magazine's Rock Albums chart.
Dave Matthews and his touring band spent much of the winter on the road following the tour opener Nov. 30 in East Rutherford, NJ, which doubled as a fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
