Kate Nash takes "Girl Talk" on North American tour trail
English singer/songwriter Kate Nash will follow up the early March release of her new album, "Girl Talk," with a major market sweep of North America.
The London native will kick off the stateside run with a March 12 performance in Boston, followed by stops across the eastern portion of the U.S., as well as two Canadian shows: March 13 in Montreal and March 15 in Toronto. The two-week outing wraps up March 26 in New York City.
Nash will perform with her all-female band on the excursion, according to a press release.
"Girl Talk," Nash's third album, will drop Feb. 18 via her own label, Have 10P Records. The songstress recorded the collection in early 2012 in a mansion in Los Angeles' Echo Park.
"I spent two months living there with my girl band and working with the great producer Tom Biller," Nash explained at her Pledge Music web page. "My friend Jeff Ellis engineered the record. You could wake up and pick fresh grapefruit from the grounds in the morning and spend all day recording in the main ballroom with crazy taxidermy all around you."
The February release follows Nash's 2010 sophomore set, "My Best Friend Is You," which charted at No. 62 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 8 on the U.K. Albums chart.
