Solange takes "True" on the road
Following a few European shows, R&B songstress Solange will spend a little time in a handful of major North American markets.
The Houston native and younger sister of Beyonce will first complete five European performances, beginning with a two-night stand Jan. 16-17 in London. The North American portion of dates kicks off Feb. 5 in San Francisco and includes six more big-city shows through the end of that month.
Tickets for the domestic leg go on sale Friday (1/11) at the performer's website.
In November, Solange digitally dropped "True," a seven-song EP. The Terrible Records effort, produced by Dev Hynes (Florence and the Machine, The Chemical Brothers), includes the lead single "Losing You" and hit brick-and-mortar retailers this month.
The younger Knowles is following up her second studio effort, "Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams," which surfaced in 2008. That collection peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 3 on the magazine's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
