Trey Anastasio adds more winter gigs to "Traveler" push
The singer/guitarist and the Trey Anastasio Band, will return to the tour trail early in the New Year, beginning Jan. 18 in Toronto and extending through five more East Coast markets. The current itinerary wraps up Jan. 23 in Albany, NY.
Pre-sales begin Dec. 7 at the musician's website, while general on-sales get underway Dec. 14-15.
The Jan. 23 show in Port Chester, NY, is a rescheduled date that was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy. Tickets for the original date (10/28) will be honored at the Jan. 23 gig, according to a press release. Those who cannot attend that date can request a refund at the point of purchase.
Anastasio unveiled "Traveler," his ninth solo effort, in October via his own Rubber Jungle Records. The artist co-produced the set with Peter Katis (The National, Interpol) in the producer's own Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, CT.
"My goal was to create an album that used the studio as an instrument," Anastasio said in a press release. "I wanted to work with Peter because he is a master at creating a sonic landscape. We were hoping for a cinematic end result."
