Dropkick Murphys plot next St. Patrick's Day outing
Celtic punk-rock outfit Dropkick Murphys will embark on yet another St. Patrick's Day tour early next year, drumming up support for their impending studio release, "Signed and Sealed in Blood."
The punk-rockers will kick off the winter journey with a Feb. 21 performance in Cleveland, OH, followed by club shows in 14 other major markets. The band will round out the trek with three hometown performances in Boston, beginning with a March 15 event dubbed the Dropkick Murphys Irish Festival. That evening will feature bands on two stages and other attractions, according to a press release.
Ticketing information for the run is available at the group's website.
The St. Patrick's Day tour is an annual rite for the pub-rock veterans.
Dropkick Murphys are preparing for the Jan. 8 drop of "Signed and Sealed in Blood," the outfit's eighth studio album, via their own Born and Bred Records. Fans can begin pre-ordering the 12-track collection, produced by Ted Hutt, Friday (11/23) at the group's website.
Several packages will be on sale, as well as a vinyl cut and a deluxe disc featuring two bonus tracks: "Lucky Charlie" and an acoustic rendition of "The Battle Rages On."
