Rolling Stones add Brooklyn gig to 50th anniversary outing
The Rolling Stones have tacked another stop onto their impending 50th anniversary run, now performing one evening at Brooklyn's brand new Barclays Center.
Last month, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood announced the short trek, which includes two performances in London (11/25, 11/29) and two in Newark, NJ (12/13, 12/15). The new Brooklyn gig is slated for Dec. 8, and general onsales begin Nov. 19. Details are available at the band's website.
Tickets for the other dates are on sale now.
"Doom and Gloom," the Stones new single, surfaced in early October and is currently streaming at the outfit's website. The effort appears on their latest best-of collection, "GRRR! Greatest Hits," which hit retailers Tuesday (11/13).
The Stones celebrated the 50th anniversary of their first gig in July. The golden anniversary celebration has been marked by the release of a 352-page photography book titled "The Rolling Stones 50," and a new documentary film about the band, dubbed "Crossfire Hurricane," will debut Wednesday (11/15) on HBO and in select theaters. Later in the year, the Brett Morgen-directed film will air on BBC2 in the U.K.
