Jackson Browne continues acoustic outing into 2013

After the holidays, Jackson Browne will return to his acoustic trek, this time taking on the western half of the U.S.

The singer/songwriter will first complete his in-progress leg, which wraps Nov. 15 in Colorado Springs, CO.

The latest leg of acoustic dates get underway Jan. 19 in Portland, OR, and continues for 14 more shows, wrapping up Feb. 16 in Reno, NV. Pre-sale tickets for the new round of dates go on sale Nov. 13; details are available via the performer's website.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who most recently released "Time the Conqueror" in 2008, will perform songs on guitar and piano from his 40-year discography and will be accompanied on stage by collaborating musicians, according to a press release.

Browne is also the co-founder of three organizations: Musicians United for Safe Energy, Nukefree.org and the Success Through the Arts Foundation, which helps educate students in South Los Angeles.
