Guster adds acoustic stops to New Year outing
Boston alt-rockers Guster will return to the tour trail early next year for a round of intimate acoustic gigs.
The four-piece outfit will first perform an electric rock show Jan. 4 in New Orleans before kicking off the acoustic trek with a Jan. 5 performance alongside the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Another eight shows follow, moving across the South and up the East Coast through a Jan. 19 gig in Portsmouth, NH.
Tickets for the entire outing go on sale Friday (11/2); details are available at the band's website.
Guster's most recent studio effort, "Easy Wonderful," surfaced in 2010 and marked the group's sixth full-length set. The collection peaked at No. 22 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 2 on the magazine's Alternative Albums chart.
