Muse firms up North American tour schedule

U.K. rock trio Muse has further filled out their North American journey behind the impending release "The 2nd Law."
Since last check, the Grammy-winning outfit has scattered another dozen U.S. and Canadian shows to the mix, beginning with a Jan. 21 performance in San Diego and including stops in Calgary (2/3); Orlando, FL (2/25); Minneapolis (3/7); and Toronto (4/9); among others.
On-sales for the additional concerts begin Oct. 12 in most markets. Ticketing information is available at the band's website.
Singer/guitarist Matthew Bellamy, bassist Christopher Wolstenholme and drummer Dominic Howard will first complete a two-month European trek that gets underway Oct. 16 in Montpellier, France.
Muse unleashed "The 2nd Law," the alt-rock outfit's sixth studio set, in late September throughout Europe and Oct. 2 stateside. The album follows the band's 2009 release, "The Resistance," which debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and topped charts in the U.K. and in other parts of Europe.
On Saturday (10/6), Muse performed two new singles on "Saturday Night Live": "Madness" and "Panic Station." The two performances are currently streaming at the NBC show's website.
