Meat Puppets plot quick U.S. jaunt ahead of new album
Arizona rock outfit Meat Puppets will headline a handful of U.S. shows this fall before heading across the pond for a winter trek through Spain.
The trio, comprised of brothers Curt (guitar/vocals) and Cris Kirkwood (bass) and Shandon Sahm (drums), will return to the tour trail for an Oct. 6 show in Santa Monica, CA, followed by performances in Oberlin, OH (10/13); Fort Worth, TX (10/19); and Houston (10/20).
The band then heads to Spain in mid-December for a six-city outing to close out the year.
Ticketing information is available now at the group's website, and more dates will be added in 2013, according to a press release.
The Meat Puppets are slated to unveil their 14th studio album in March via Megaforce Records. The still-untitled effort, which was recorded at Yellow Dog Studio in Austin, TX, and produced by Curt Kirkwood, follows last year's "Lollipop."
