Dave Matthews Band heads east for winter tour

Dave Matthews Band will promote its latest No. 1 album, "Away From The World," with a East Coast trek this winter.
The jam-rock outfit will kick off the three-week outing with a two-night stand Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 in East Rutherford, NJ. Eleven arena shows follow, including a Dec. 7 performance in Toronto and two consecutive evenings (12/14-12/15) in the band's hometown of Charlottesville, VA.
Tickets for the winter excursion go on sale beginning Oct. 19 for some markets and Oct. 26 for others. More information is available at the group's website.
"Away From The World," DMB's eighth studio effort, surfaced in September via RCA Records and debuted at the top of The Billboard 200. The band worked with producer Steve Lillywhite (U2, The Rolling Stones) on the collection, which follows 2009's "Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King."
Last week, DMB unveiled a new video for the single "Mercy." The latest cut, which is currently streaming at the band's YouTube page, surfaced for the first-ever National Voter Registration Day (9/25) and urges eligible Americans to register.
