The Darkness adds two headlining stops to Gaga support run
British rockers The Darkness will take time out from their supporting run with Lady Gaga for two headlining major market headlining shows.
The glam-rock quartet will break from its international itinerary accompanying Lady Gaga to headline Oct. 21 at New York City's Terminal 5 and Oct. 24 at Los Angeles' Club Nokia.
Tickets for the two domestic shows, as well as international gigs, are available now.
The Darkness unleashed "Hot Cakes," the group's third studio effort, in August via Wind-up Records. The album marks the band's first since reuniting after a five-year break-up. The collection peaked at No. 43 on The Billboard 200 and topped the U.K. Rock chart.
"We just wanted to develop the songs and make sure they were really spot-on and basically take a minimal approach across the board apart from when we need to go really over the top," guitarist/vocalist Dan Hawkins said of the new set in an interview with SoundSpike earlier this year.
The Darkness recently released the first-ever interactive music app via iTunes and Google Play. Album artwork, tour posters and photos contain hidden content, while "The Soundboard" features clips from the latest album that can be shared.
