Phil Lesh & Friends plan short fall outing

Phil Lesh & Friends with spend part of November on the East Coast, performing a short run of fall gigs with special guests.
The outfit, helmed by the former Grateful Dead bassist, will begin with three consecutive nights (11/7-9) in Montclair, NJ, followed by shows in New York City (11-11-13) and Port Chester, NY (11/15-18).
The "friends" on Lesh's current road trip include up-and-coming singer/songwriter Jackie Greene, guitarist John Kadlecik and drummer Joe Russo. The special guests on this round include keyboardist Jeff Chimenti for the first four shows and keyboardist Adam MacDougall for the remaining six performances.
Lesh, a pioneering bassist who played with the Grateful Dead for three decades, has released one studio album since his Dead days: 2002's "There and Back Again." In 2006, he unveiled a two-disc live effort entitled "Live at the Warfield."
