Prince adds afterparties to Chicago itinerary

Along with his impending "Welcome 2 Chicago" run, Prince will perform a trio of afterparties, dubbed the "Official Purple After Jam," at the local House of Blues.
The Minneapolis-born musician takes the stage at Chicago's United Center Sept. 24-26 at 8 p.m. CDT, and is now slated to head to the House of Blues each of three nights for an afterparty that gets underway at 11:59 p.m., according to a press release.
Tickets for the arena shows are now available via Live Nation, while the afterparty shows, which start at $75 plus applicable taxes, are on sale via Ticketmaster. Fans can also purchase a three-day pass to the House of Blues events for $150 -- the price of two days.
The Chicago arena dates support Rebuild the Dream, a project to mobilize everyday people to build strong communities in an effort to fix the nation's economy from the ground up.
His most recent album, "20Ten," surfaced in July 2010 and marks the 34th studio set of his career.
