Steve Winwood plots West Coast trek
Singer/songwriter/keyboardist Steve Winwood -- who's enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Traffic -- will follow up his summertime run of the East Coast with a round of West Coast casino and theater shows later this year.
The English musician, who recently received a star on the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville, returns stateside for the Nov. 9 kick-off performance in Las Vegas and proceeds along the coastline for another four shows before heading eastward. The 10-date outing wraps up Nov. 28 in Houston.
Ticketing information for the latest portion of dates is available at the Grammy winner's website.
Winwood most recently unveiled a compilation album, "Revolutions - The Very Best of Steve Winwood," in 2010. The collection, which features his solo work as well as highlights from his time with Traffic, Blind Faith and The Spencer Davis Group, is available as a single 14-song disc or an expansive four-disc set.
"Nine Lives," Winwood's most recent full-length release, surfaced in 2008 and features Eric Clapton as guitarist on the single "Dirty City."
