Henry Rollins takes on state capitals ahead of big-city residencies
Henry Rollins has planned an all-encompassing "Capitalism" trek this fall, taking his spoken-word act to all 50 state capitals as well as Washington, D.C. ahead of the November presidential election.
The musician and spoken word artist will kicks off the 51-city outing tonight (9/6) in Honolulu, followed by a Sept. 8 stop in Juneau, AK, before taking on the lower 48 states through early November. The "Capitalism" run wraps up Nov. 5 with a performance in Washington, D.C.
Following the state capital trek, Rollins will then return to multi-night "The Long March" residencies in New York City (11/8-11/13), Chicago (11/15-11/17), Toronto (11/19-11/21) San Francisco (11/22-11/25) and Los Angeles (11/27-12/1).
Both "The Long March" and "Capitalism" legs will include Rollins' commentary on the state of the union, as well as anecdotes and perspective he's gained during his worldwide travels, according to a press release.
Ticketing information for the capital tour is available now at Rollins'' website, while tickets for the residencies will go on sale soon.
Last October, the iconic punk rocker/speaker unveiled "Occupants," a 176-page combination of stories and photography.
