Sean Paul takes "Tomahawk Technique" on North American run
Jamaican dancehall/reggae artist Sean Paul has unveiled a slate of North American performances later this month in support of his impending "Tomahawk Technique" album.
The Grammy-winning musician will get started Sept. 19 in Los Angeles, and will continue along the West Coast through month's end. The 15-date outing skips over the middle part of the nation and works its way down the East Coast beginning Oct. 3 in Boston and pushing through an Oct. 13 performance in St. Petersburg, FL.
Tickets for the club and theater shows are on sale now via the artist's website, as are exclusive packages featuring a ticket to the show, access to an artist meet and greet, a digital download of the new album, a laminate and a pair of Sean Paul sunglasses.
Paul is preparing for the Sept. 18 release of his fifth studio album, "Tomahawk Technique," via Atlantic Records. The forthcoming set comes three years after "Imperial Blaze," which peaked at No. 12 on The Billboard 200.
"I took a different approach on this album in every way," Sean Paul said in a press release. "I worked with a lot of pop producers and challenged them to make their interpretation of a dancehall beat while also collaborating with some artists I've always admired but never had the chance to work with."
