Barbra Streisand fills out October run
Following the recent announcement of two now-sold-out shows in her native Brooklyn, Barbra Streisand has added a handful of North American arena shows to her fall outing.
The iconic songstress has another six stops surrounding the Oct. 11 and Oct. 13 shows at Brooklyn's brand-new Barclays Center, beginning with an Oct. 8 concert in Philadelphia. The short road trip also includes four Canadian shows, as well as an Oct. 26 performance in Chicago.
General onsales for the newly announced dates go on sale today (8/13).
The award-winning performer will tour alongside special guests Chris Botti and Il Volo.
"Brooklyn to me means the Loew's Kings, Erasmus, the Yeshiva I went to, the Dodgers, Prospect Park, great Chinese food," said Streisand, a native of Brooklyn's Flatbush neighborhood, in a May press release. "I'm so glad I came from Brooklyn -- it's down to earth. I guess you CAN come home again."
Streisand most recently released "What Matters Most," her 33rd studio effort which surfaced last August. The 10-track set, which Streisand produced herself, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
