Joshua Radin takes "Underwater" across North America

Folk singer/songwriter Joshua Radin will spend the fall on the North American tour trail, drumming up support for his brand-new effort, "Underwater."
The Ohio native has a one-off performance Aug. 2 in Alexandria, VA, before heading to Europe for a two-week outing that wraps up in late September. The North American excursion alongside A Fine Frenzy kicks off Oct. 11 in Santa Rosa, CA, and visits clubs and theaters in 26 major markets across the continent. The road trip currently concludes Nov. 16 in Los Angeles.
Radin unveils "Underwater," his fourth studio effort, today (7/31) via Mom + Pop Music. The album follows his 2010 release, "The Rock and The Tide," which peaked at No. 5 on iTunes.
Radin recorded the new Kevin Augunas-produced album in the same Studio City studios that hosted Nirvana's "Nevermind" sessions, according to a press release.
The musician, whose childhood ear problems prevented from swimming underwater for much of his life, penned the title track while submerged, thanks to some state-of-the-art earplugs.
"I never realized the silence that could occur when you go underwater," Radin said in a press release. "That was pretty amazing."
Fans can download a free MP3 of the title track now at Radin's Facebook page.
