Jane's Addiction rolls out another "Theatre of Escapists" leg
Alt-rockers Jane's Addiction have furthered their "Theatre of Escapists Tour," adding yet another leg to the North American outing in support of last year's "The Great Escape Artist."
The rock outfit--comprised of frontman Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Chris Chaney--continue the roadwork with an Aug. 6 performance in Cleveland, OH. Since last check, an additional 17 stops are on the schedule, which now extends through a Sept. 7 appearance in Las Vegas, NV.
Tickets for the latest leg, which includes one Canadian stop Aug. 31 in Vancouver, are on sale now via the band's website.
The "Escapists" outing merges music and immersive theater at most stops, with local talent filling lobbies of theaters across the country to entertain concertgoers before the show.
Jane's Addiction released "The Great Escape Artist," produced by Rich Costey (Muse, Nine Inch Nails), last October via Capitol Records. The effort, which marks the band's first studio release in eight years, peaked at No. 12 on The Billboard 200 and follows 2003's gold-certified "Strays."
