Bob Dylan tacks more shows onto "Tempest" trek
Iconic folk-rocker Bob Dylan has extended his in-progress North American journey in anticipation of his forthcoming album, "Tempest."
Since last check, the multiple-Grammy winner has added more than two dozen stops to his in-progress trek, which continues with an Aug. 10 performance in Lloydminster, Alberta. The new round of shows begins with an Oct. 5 performance in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and pushes through 23 major markets before wrapping up Nov. 14 in Toronto, Ontario.
Tickets for some dates are on sale now at Dylan's website, while information about the October and November concerts will be available soon.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and recent Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient will unveil his 35th studio effort, "Tempest," Sept. 11 via Columbia Records -- 50 years after his 1962 eponymous debut. The collection of 10 new tracks lists Jack Frost, Dylan's pseudonym, as producer.
Dylan's most recent release is 2009's "Together Through Life," which topped The Billboard 200, as well as album charts in Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Argentina, Austria and the U.K. It also landed at the top of Billboard's Top Internet Albums, Top Digital Albums and Top Rock Albums charts.
