Garbage continues "Not Your Kind" tour, reschedules spring postponements
Alt-rockers Garbage have added four rescheduled dates to their in-progress international trek supporting May's "Not Your Kind of People."
The outfit, helmed by Scottish singer Shirley Manson, is in the midst of a European jaunt, which will be followed up with a North American outing that gets underway Aug. 4 in Montreal. Since last check, the band has rescheduled four Midwest gigs that were postponed in April due to a "family emergency," according to published reports. The affected postponements have now been rescheduled in Salt Lake City (10/5), Denver (10/6), Houston (10/9) and Austin, TX (10/10).
Garbage unveiled "Not Your Kind of People," the band's fifth studio album, in May through their own label, Stunvolume Records. The effort, which marks their return after a six-year hiatus, peaked at No. 13 on The Billboard 200 and at the top of the magazine's Alternative Albums chart. The new collection, which features the lead single "Blood For Poppies," follows 2005's "Bleed Like Me."
