Hard rockers Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson will join forces for the "Twins of Evil" co-headlining trek, which will canvas parts of the world later this year.

The first leg of the hard-hitting rock tour gets underway Sept. 28 when the two performers co-headline the first day of the Desert Uprising Festival in Phoenix. Another 18 major market stops follow, including a Sept. 29 appearance at Las Vegas' 48 Hours Festival. The first U.S. leg wraps up with a Halloween show (10/31) in Dallas, after which the combo will head over to Europe for a 10-country excursion that continues through mid-December.

Korn frontman Jonathan Davis will provide opening support for the first leg as his DJ alter ego J Devil; more dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

"Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It's happening now," Zombie said in a press release. "If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this fucking tour. Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming."

The outing, which will also include Zombie's three-piece backing band, will be a multimedia production, according to a press release, with theatrics, LED screens and a light show, among other features.

In May, Manson unleashed his eighth studio effort, "Born Villain," via Cooking Vinyl Records. The heavy metal release peaked at No. 10 on The Billboard 200 and topped the magazine's Rock Albums, Hard Rock Albums and Independent Albums charts.

Zombie most recently unveiled "Hellbilly Deluxe 2," his fourth solo set, in 2010. That album was the companion to his 1998 solo debut, "Hellbilly Deluxe," which peaked at No. 5 on The Billboard 200.

On Aug. 7, "Rob Zombie's Mondo Sex Head," a collection of DJ-remixed Zombie songs created by J Devil, Photek, Bloody Beetroots, Drumcorps and Ki:Theory, will hit retailers.
