Chiodos plot course with 2009 lineup
Post-hardcore outfit Chiodos will hit the road next month with a reunited lineup, marking their first time performing together since 2009.
The Michigan-based outfit will return to the tour trail Aug. 10 in Cleveland, OH, with a recently reunited group comprised of singer Craig Owens, keyboardist Bradley Bell, guitarists Jason Hale and Pat McManaman, bassist Matt Goddard and drummer Derrick Frost.
The late summer outing consists of 10 major market club and festival performances scattered throughout the eastern portion of the nation, running through an Oct. 13 gig in Dallas.
"Everyone seems really excited to be doing this again, which was something I honestly didn't think I would ever say at one point," Bell, one of the band's founding members, explained in a press release. "Now it just feels right and we're looking forward to playing shows and making more music together."
Chiodos most recently unveiled "Illuminaudio," the outfit's third studio effort, in 2010 via Equal Vision Records. The album marks the only studio set to feature singer Brandon Bolmer, who took over vocal duties following Owens' 2009 departure.
"It's crazy to think that it's been almost three years...and that in less than one month, we'll all be on the same stage together again," Owens said in a press release. "Until then, we are all just preparing for whatever may happen next with an optimistic view on it all; Thankful to be playing music we love, with people we respect."
