Aimee Mann plans support run behind "Charmer"

Singer/songwriter Aimee Mann will take on a handful of western U.S. dates this fall in support of her impending release, "Charmer."
The Virginia native will kick off the domestic road work with a Sept. 27 concert in San Juan Capistrano, CA, and work her way along the West Coast for 12 shows. The current itinerary wraps up with an Oct. 13 performance in Los Angeles. More dates will be unveiled in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
Pre-sale tickets are currently available via Mann's website.
"Charmer," Mann's long-awaited eighth studio effort, will hit retailers Sept. 18 on Superego Records. Influenced by what Mann calls the "superpop" of the '70s and '80s, according to a press release, the forthcoming release follows her 2008 album, "@#%&*! Smilers," which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart.
Fans can check out the impending album's title track, which is currently streaming via the Rolling Stone website.
