Synth-pop act Owl City has added more shows to its international outing in support of his impending August release, "The Midsummer Station."

The electronica project of musician Adam Young will continue the in-progress trek with a July 12 show in Chicago, and pushes through a July 23 show in Seattle before heading overseas. The North American portion picks back up Aug. 7 in Orlando, FL, and includes 21 major market stops scattered across the continent through early October.

Another round of European and Asian performances follow, as well as a trip to New Zealand and Australia.

Tickets for some gigs are on sale now, but most of the new dates become available July 13. Details are available via the outfit's website.

Owl City will unveil "The Midsummer Station," the act's fourth studio effort, Aug. 21 via Universal Republic. The album, which follows 2011's "All Things Bright and Beautiful," is currently available for pre-order at the Owl City website and at online retailers like Amazon.

On May 15, Owl City released an EP entitled "Shooting Star," featuring four tracks which will be on the late summer studio set. The first single and the EP's title track features Blink-182's Mark Hoppus on guest vocals and was co-written by Matt Thiessen (Relient K), Stargate (Rihanna, Wiz Khalifa), Josh Crosby, Nate Company and Emily Wright.
