Hoobastank preps for "Fight or Flight"
Multi-platinum alt-rockers Hoobastank will precede the release of their fifth studio set, "Fight or Flight," with a round of summer shows throughout the U.S.
The California quartet will begin the summer outing with a July 6 performance in Pleasanton, CA, and work its way east across the nation for another 15 stops. An Aug. 10 show supporting Creed in Pharr, TX, follows, after which the band will head to Japan for a pair of mid-August concerts.
"Fight or Flight," Hoobastank's fifth studio effort, will hit retailers Aug. 28 via Open E Entertainment. Produced by Gavin Brown, the 10-track album follows 2009's "For(N)ever, which peaked at No. 26 on The Billboard 200 and at No. 7 on the magazine's Top Rock Albums.
"We wanted a producer with a fresh perspective, someone who would take us out of our comfort zone in the studio, and Gavin fit all the criteria," lead singer Doug Robb explained in a press release.
Fans can download the lead single, "This Is Gonna Hurt," now via the band's website, as well as watch the song's video.
