Neil Young & Crazy Horse announce fall tour
Neil Young & Crazy Horse -- who are set to release thier new album, "Americana," on Tuesday (6/5) -- have announced plans to to embark on their first tour together since 2004.
The two month, 22-city North American trek gets underway Oct. 3 in Windsor, Ontario. Ten cities on the itinerary are in Young's native Canada.
Tickets go on sale in select tickets beginning June 8, and $1 for each ticket sold will benefit The Bridge School, which assists children with severe physical impairments and complex communication needs.
Los Lobos will open through Nov. 19, after which Patti Smith will support.
As previously reported, "Americana" is a significant departure for Young & Crazy Horse in that it forgoes original material in favor a focus on classic American folk songs. The set was produced by Young and John Hanon with Mark Humphreys. Crazy Horse's current lineup includes Young, Billy Talbot, Ralph Molina and Poncho Sampedro.
