Brandi Carlile plots course behind "Bear Creek"
Just a few months after kicking off her first solo run, singer/songwriter Brandi Carlile has added another U.S. leg to her schedule in support of her forthcoming album, "Bear Creek."
The Washington native returns to the road late next month, beginning with a two-night stand June 20-21 in Apple Valley, MN. The extensive tour moves through 33 U.S. markets, stopping by clubs and amphitheaters through a Sept. 1 performance in Bend, OR.

"Bear Creek," Carlile's fourth studio effort, is set to drop June 5 via Columbia Records. Grammy winner Trina Shoemaker (Sheryl Crow, Nanci Griffith) produced the album, which follows last year's "Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony."
That collection, which was recorded during two sold-out shows at Seattle's Benaroya Hall in November 2010, includes covers of Elton John's "Sixty Years On," Paul Simon's "The Sound of Silence" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." The album peaked at No. 14 on Billboard's Top Rock Albums chart.
