Marc Anthony promotes "Iconos" throughout Americas
Following an in-progress South American leg, Marc Anthony will tour stateside, visiting a handful of major markets throughout the eastern United States in support of his latest studio set, "Iconos."
The Latin singer/songwriter, who will take the stage Saturday in Ecuador, completes the South American excursion Aug. 29 in Columbia, and will break for two weeks before kicking off the North American jaunt Sept. 10 in New York City. Anthony will touch down in six U.S. cities on the run, which includes a two-night stand Sept. 17-18 in Miami. The full schedule is shown at right.
The five-time Grammy winner unveiled his most recent Spanish ballad collection, "Iconos," in May, making it the performer's first new studio effort in six years. The album, which features two original songs and eight covers, topped Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart for seven weeks.
Anthony is also planning on whipping up a new salsa album, according to his recent interview with the New York Times.
"We are firing on all cylinders to get a salsa album done by the end of the summer," the musician revealed. No word yet on a title or release date.
