Isobel Campbell, Mark Lanegan pair up for album, tour
Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan, who have been collaborating for more than seven years, will begin their first-ever North American tour on Oct. 13 in Boston.
The short outing is slated to hit a dozen U.S. cities, as well as two Canadian provinces by month's end. Details are shown at right.
The shows are expected to focus on material from Campbell's new album, "Hawk," her third release with Lanegan, which Vanguard Records will release Aug. 24.
Former Screaming Trees frontman Lanegan sings with Campbell, who left Belle and Sebastian in 2002, on eight of the album's tracks; Willy Mason and James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins) appear as well.
Lanegan and Campbell released their first joint album, "The Ballad of The Broken Seas," in 2006. That set received a Mercury Music Prize nomination.
