Elton John pushes back Tucson show due to illness
After postponing last night's show due to a bout of food poisoning, legendary musician Elton John will return to the stage tonight (7/22) for the rescheduled Tucson, AZ concert.
The award-winning performer announced the quick change at his website, stating that "doctors assure him he will be fine for tonight's performance."
All tickets for the original July 21 show will be honored tonight at the Tucson Convention Center Arena. Ticketholders unable to attend the rescheduled show should contact the point of purchase for a refund.
John will wrap up his North American tour with two more dates this weekend before heading across the pond for an extensive European run that begins in early September. The full itinerary is shown at right.
In October, John and fellow musician Leon Russell will release "The Union," a 16-song, T Bone Burnett-produced album on which the long-time friends collaborated. The new studio effort hits shelves Oct. 19 on Decca Records.
