Paul Simon heads back to the road this fall
Though 2011 already has been Paul Simon's busiest touring year in some time, he's not done yet.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has announced plans play a dozen additional cities this fall, kicking off Oct. 17 in Phoenix. More shows are in the works, according to Simon's website.
Tickets currently are on sale for the tour's upcoming stops Berkeley, CA, and Phoenix; onsales get underway Saturday (9/17) for shows in Universal City and Santa Barbara, CA. Ticketing information for the remaining dates wasn't available at press time.
During the outing, Simon will backed by musicians including Cameroonian guitarist Vincent Nguini, drummer Jim Oblon, pianist Mick Rossi, saxophonist/keyboardist Andrew Snitzer, bassist Bakithi Kumalo, guitarist Mark Stewart, percussionist Jamey Haddad and multi-instrumentalist Tony Cedras.
The tour supports Simon's latest album, "So Beautiful or So What," which was released in April. The set was produced by Simon with Phil Ramone.
