30 Seconds to Mars set sites on more North American dates
Los Angeles-based rock outfit 30 Seconds to Mars, which wrapped up a month-long North American trek about a week ago, has scheduled another round of shows for April and May.
The newly announced North American dates open April 8 in San Jose, CA, and will follow a stint aboard Australia's Soundwave Festival, as well as stops in the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, and Chile's edition of the Lollapalooza festival.
Also on the band's schedule is a a Feb. 21 appearance at the Montalban Theater in Los Angeles, where 30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto will host a screening and Q&A for the director's cut of his video/short film for the band's song "Hurricane."
30 Seconds to Mars is still backing its latest album, "This is War," which was released in late 2009. The Virgin Records/EMI release, which features 12 tracks produced by Flood (Depeche Mode, Smashing Pumpkins) and Steve Lilywhite (U2, Dave Matthews Band), peaked at No. 18 on The Billboard 200.
