Revamped Doors lineup to perform ‘L.A. Woman’
The Doors 21st Century will perform the 1971 album “L.A. Woman” in its entirety for the first time in Wantagh, NY.
The group plans to film the performance and release it as a concert DVD in early 2004.Original Doors frontman Jim Morrison died before the band released the “L.A. Woman” album.

Alicia Keys readies sophomore album
Singer-songwriter-pianist Alicia Keys plans to issue the follow up to her 2001 multi-platinum debut, “Songs in A Minor,” on Nov. 18. The as-yet-untitled set features guest appearances from rappers Nas and Rakin on one track, and collaborative input from Easy Mo Bee and Dwayne Wiggins of Tony Toni Ton? on another.

String Cheese Incident Sues Ticketmaster
String Cheese Incident’s SCI Ticketing filed a lawsuit against Ticketmaster on Wednesday (8/6), in which the jam band claims that the ticketing behemoth is monopolizing the ticket industry and intentionally interfering with the group’s ticketing service.
The suit alleges that Ticketmaster sent a letter in May of last year to concert promoters and venues, in which they ordered the parties to stop issuing blocks of concert tickets for artists to sell directly to fans.

New ABBA DVD due out in September
“ABBA Gold - Greatest Hits,” a DVD that marks the 10th anniversary of the multi-platinum album of the same name, is due out on Sept. 9, according to a press release. The set, previously available in VHS format, will feature the music videos for each of the 19 songs found on the album, as well as a 25-minute documentary created in 1999.
