Pearl Jam has set a Dec. 8 benefit performance in Seattle, a show that will mark the band’s first hometown concert appearance since October of 2001.

The show will raise money for several as-yet-unnamed charities. Tickets will be priced at $36, and will go on sale on Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
The group, which is expected to launch a world tour early next year, releases a new album titled “Riot Act” on Nov. 12.
Pearl Jam is set to perform on CBS-TV’s “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Nov. 14 and 15.
