Incubus tops the roster of Honda’s second annual Civic Tour, during which the alt-rock group is scheduled to play more than 50 dates.
The band is hitting the road behind last October’s “Morning View,” the follow-up to its multi-platinum, breakthrough album “Make Yourself.” The new album features the singles “Wish You Were Here” and “Nice to Know You,” companion music-videos for both of which can be viewed at Incubus’ official website.
As part of its involvement with Civic Tour sponsor Honda, Incubus created a custom-designed version of the new Civic Si automobile, which will be placed on display at each of the tour’s stops, according to a press release. Six of these Incubus-autographed, custom-designed cars were built, and fans have a shot at one via a contest hosted at the Civic Tour’s official website.
Fellow California-based quintet Phantom Planet is the tour’s opening act. In February, the group released its sophomore album, “Guest,” which includes the single “California.” That song first turned up on last December’s “Orange County” motion-picture soundtrack.
Last year’s Civic Tour was divided into two separate legs, one headlined by Blink-182, the other headlined by Everclear.
