“MTV Unplugged No. 2.0,” Lauryn Hill‘s first album since 1998’s Grammy-winning “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” will be released by Columbia Records on May 7. The two-CD collection captures Hill’s intimate 2-hour performance of new acoustic music, which originally premiered on MTV2 on March 10. A DVD/VHS edition of the program is scheduled for a late May release.

Goo Goo Dolls are scheduled to perform a 30 minute set at FYE, 1290 6th Avenue, New York, at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday (4/8). The band will then sign autographs until 9 p.m.

The Verve Music Group has re-launched its website. Among the artists who record or have recorded for the group are Diana Krall, Michael Brecker, George Benson, Natalie Cole, Wayne Shorter, Richard Elliot, Herbie Hancock, Shirley Horn, John Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald, Lester Young, Billie Holiday, and Sarah Vaughan.
“The site enables the user to listen to virtually every track from the entire Verve Music Group active catalog,” a press release said.

ZZ Top and Brooks & Dunn will perform together on a new episode of CMT Crossroads, which debuts on April 21. Among the songs the groups perform together are “Tush,” “Hard Workin’ Man,” “Gimme All Your Lovin’,” “Dust My Broom,” “La Grange” and “I’ll Never Forgive My Heart.”
