Ubiquitous Canadian Avril Lavigne has announced her first batch of 2003 U.S. tour dates, LiveDaily reports. Admit it: just reading her name makes that damn song run through your head, doesn’t it?

The Dixie Chicks will sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XXXVII, which takes place at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium on Jan. 26.

The Tennessean reports that Gaylord Entertainment has axed the operations manager and several other staffers at Nashville’s WSM-AM radio, which is the famous home of the Grand Ole Opry radio show. A year ago, after the public raised a Big Ole Stink, Gaylord abandoned plans to change the station’s classic country music format.
