Reporting the obvious, RollingStone.com says the future of Guns ‘N Roses is in doubt. Band manager Irving Azoff, ever the optimist, reportedly said, “In Axl’s case, anything’s possible. If this guy has a hit record, he’s back. Rock and roll has always been anti-establishment. Part of Axl’s anti-establishment is pulling this shit.”

The first new studio album from The Yardbirds since 1968’s “Little Games” is scheduled to reach stores on April 22. Founding members Chris Dreja and Jim McCarty have enlisted three new band members for the project. Making guest appearances are Jeff Beck, Brian May, Steve Vai, Slash, Joe Satriani, Johnny Rzeznik, Steve Lukather and Jeff “Skunk” Baxter.

Fellow Australian cuties Daniel Johns (of Silverchair) and Natalie Imbruglia are engaged, ABC News (the Australian one) reports.

And in other superengagement news, Fabrizio Moretti, drummer of The Strokes, reportedly is engaged to wed the always-ready-to-take-the-plunge actress Drew Barrymore.

The Grammy nominees will be announced on Tuesday (1/6). Music fans will begin bitching and moaning shortly thereafter.

DMX, who wasn’t allowed into Canada last week to perform two concerts, has rescheduled those shows and plans to perform as many as a dozen concerts in March, Launch.com’s Yves Erwin Salomon reports.
