Tim McGraw offers up a new book and a prime-time television special in conjunction with the Nov. 26 release of “Tim McGraw & the Dancehall Doctors.”

On the same day that the new album arrives in stores, Simon & Schuster releases “Tim McGraw & the Dancehall Doctors: This Is Ours,” a McGraw-penned book that chronicles the making of his new album.

The Eagles’ Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmit both appear on the 15-track album, as does singer Kim Carnes, according to McGraw’s publicist.

“Making this record was the most fun I’ve ever had in the studio and the most rewarding musical experience I’ve ever had,” McGraw said in a statement. “I think I sang more honestly on this record, and that came from the honesty that the music was played with.”

McGraw will help launch the new album with a one-hour television special titled “Tim McGraw: Sing Me Home,” which will air on NBC on Nov. 27.
