Sharon Osbourne has sent husband Ozzy back out on tour because he almost fainted during her first chemotherapy session.

“It seems that Ozzy may not be the Iron Man after all,” Osbourne’s publicist said in a prepared statement. “After attending his wife Sharon’s first chemotherapy treatment, he nearly passed out and had to be taken to a recovery room. Sharon now realizes that Ozzy is better off on the road so she’s shipped him back out to finish Ozzfest.”
Last Friday (7/26), Ozzy announced that he would be leaving the tour from Aug. 3 through Aug. 20 to be with Sharon, and said that he planned to rejoin the run on Aug. 22. Now, however, he is due to return to the tour’s roster on Aug. 7, and will miss only the Aug. 3 and Aug. 4 shows.
System of a Down will headline Ozzfest during Ozzy’s pair of missed dates.
Sharon Osbourne underwent surgery for colon cancer early last month, and learned shortly thereafter that she would need to begin chemotherapy because the cancer had spread.
